This exhibition features around 150 rare books included in East Meets West: An Illustrated Catalogue of Some Rare Books in Western Languages in the University of Macau Library, a catalogue newly compiled by the Library itself.

Showcase the winning entries in each category of the competition held respectively by the libraries in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

Objects in nature, wool blankets, toy blocks, picture cards, small drawings… What is your ideal reading corner like? In this exhibition, several families exhibit their own family reading corners and share the joy of reading behind the doors with readers. 

Zine, an unfamiliar concept among Macao locals, refers to a type of independent publication produced in small quantity but gaining widespread popularity in different parts of the world in recent years. The name 'zine', without the prefix 'maga', suggests it aims to shake off the limitations in the publication process and only focus on expressing the creator's message. Playfulness and handicraft, even inexpensive and unrefined, is allowed from content preparation to printing and binding.
This exhibition features the zines singled out by different bookstores in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Mainland, as well as some independent publications experimentally created by local designers and artists.
